Pricing/Billing FAQ

What is the difference between monthly and annual billing?

To give our customers the most flexibility, we offer both monthly and annual billing cycles. With a monthly plan, your payment option will be charged at the beginning of every new monthly cycle—this gives you more flexibility to work on a smaller project for a short duration of time. However, our annual plans are more cost-efficient for long-term projects, and are billed at the anniversary date of initial purchase.

Will the price of my VPS changes?

All our listed prices remain flat for the life of the server. For example, you will currently pay $20/mo for our Tau plan. If, in six months, we raise the price of new Tau servers to $30/mo, yours will not change, even between billing cycles.

If you request a cancellation of your server and wish to reactivate it at a later date, you will be billed at the current pricing structure.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 14-day window in which you can cancel your services at no cost to you. Of course, if you’re having issues with our platform or have concerns about your services, we would much prefer that you file a support ticket and start a conversation with our friendly engineers.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept a wide variety of payments for the most flexibility: credit card, PayPal, and Bitcoin. Credit card payments are handled with Stripe, a trusted and secure credit card processor, which allows us to take all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and 135 currencies with full PCI-DSS compliance.

What happens if I forget to pay, or my payment method fails?

We understand that things happen—credit cards get stolen, or one simply forgets to set a reminder to pay the hosting bill.

Payments are due in full on the monthly or annual anniversary date of purchase. After five days, public access to the server will be terminated. After seven days, we will terminate access to the network and reclaim the server’s resources.

But, we’ll reach out before either of those scenarios with a gentle reminder that you have a balance due with SSD Nodes.

How do I cancel my service?

You can cancel your services at any time in the Actions area of the node you wish to cancel.

How do you ensure server performance?

A VPS is designed to provide solid processing performance with the capability to occasionally burst to more intense usage for short periods of time.

If a customer is using a lot of resources, we'll reach out via email to let them know. If this usage continues, or appears to reach the threshold where it could affect other clients, we might throttle the server.
